Cat for 2.1TD estate

Post by sixspeed »

Hi folks,

The cat on our 2.1TD is rattling and blowing through a hole! I had it bodged/welded for the MOT a while ago but it's leaking again so needs replacing.

Don't fancy getting robbed by Peugeot so can anyone suggest a cheaper supplier of reasonable quality cats? Or should I just get a plain pipe made up to replace the cat?

Thanks,

Jules.

Just looked back on the records of my old 2.1 and back in 2005, I paid £127 supplied and fitted from an local independant tyre place. I reckon Peugoet would want 4 times that easily.

I could live with that cost....and you've had it 3 years without issue so the quality must be alright too!

Sorry, I sold the car a year later for a 406 Coupe, but I'd be very surprised if you didn't get a good 5 years out of any new one.
