braking issues

Post by richteex »

Hello All, took my car in for service today with my local garage who did the normal things..... on way home i oticed the car seemed to shudder every mile or so which was quite worrying. Worked out that the brakes seemed to be engaging by themselves, as when the shudders happent he rear brake light come on (could tell in the dark !!!!)

I did ask thenm to replace the brake fluid as well. Any ideas what has caused this. Did have a much milder but similar condition a few years ago but never found out what it was as it seemed to go away.

Any ideas would be appreciated as taking back to garage tommorrow.

Thanks

The master cylinder is overfilled? Not sure but it really doesn't sound safe.

I was thinking that, but excessive pressure would push the pedal up, not pull it down
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
