Hello,
Just joined this forum. Could any tell me what the correct timing belt schedule is for my 02 406 HDI 110 - its done 48k. I have phoned 3 different dealers and they have all stated different schedules, they all said 96 k - but one said 10 years, one said 8 years , and the other said 6 years. I would have thought 6 years or 96k which ever comes first would be correct with an average of 15 k per year which means mine is due on time. any info appreciated

Hi there, wlcome aboard
Haynes: Every 72,000 miles. It goes on to add if the car does a lot of stop-start driving or short journeys you should halve this.
I'd say that if you didn't have the car from new you should consider changing it, you don't know how it's been driven or even if it's been clocked. Mine was done when I first got it at 83,000km (that's about 52,000 miles). Maybe I'm overcautious but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the welcome - I think 6 years or 96 k which ever comes first - so its therefore due on time, its a 1 owner with 48 k full history etc etc so no doubt about the mileage - i will get it done for peace of mind.
