WANTED..2.1 TD type 8

Decided to replace the whole engine,must be complete,1 in and 1 out situation,The engine will come complete minus a/c,alt,starter,g/box but everything else needed.Please not too much £money,will buy whole car if i have to for spares..This is an "R" dec 1997,Estate.I am in Braintree in Essex.CM 7. Please NO problem engines,i've got enough with the one i got.Accident damaged (as long as it runs),or enough tax and mot to get it back to Braintree.will be OK.Thankyou in anticipation of finding something good.regards Ray..p.s even Dealers if you've got one on the back row you want rid of. 01376 342213 or 07703 729013. uptil 11.00pm

Thankyou Captain Jack,but this item in not complete,NO pump..found a pump now as well,so i will try that and see what happens.Apparently the rotor inside the pump was making the timing jump up and down like a bar maids apron,and that was the problem.Hopefuly when i fit the pump,problem cured.(fingers crossed).regards Mate,Ray

Not wanted any longer Thanks men,i now have it up and running and well happy,Replaced pump.It was the rotor inside or something and it was sending the timing all over the place,that is what was causing it to run away with itself,never mind sorted now and i am a happy bunny. Ray

Cool, glad you got it fixed! I wish you could swap pumps about on the HDi :roll: if our main fuel pump goes then you need to be a micro-scientist not a spanner monkey :|

Thanks Mate,From what i hear about the HDi engines i think i'll stick to the old 1905 Td engines,they seem to go on for a lot longer and with less hassle's. Ray
