Okay I admit trade's been a bit slack

Minor understatement there - Friday's have deteriorated into utter crap since the start of the year... Saturdays are solid after paydays

Last Monday night I did 13 quid in fares and finally bogged off home in high dudgeon at about midnight...

Seriously, tips are so impossibly unpredictable here in vegetable county city that I don't dare assume I'm getting any. And no, normally I'm not as grumpy with the punters as I might seem on here. Usually I'll be cheerfull and polite, greeting each new punter as positively as seems and feels appropriate. Tips vary from zero to 20p on a 6 quid fare to a fiver from an east mids airport run last sat night.

And my oppos on the firm have the same levels of tipping. It's cos it's veggy county I think, they're traditionally tighter than a ducks bum.

The amount of customers asking me for a kiss seem to have quadrupled too

- The only one who usually tries to kiss me is one of our least favourite regulars. She has major personal esteem, self image and alcohol issues - not good for my ego Mind, there was that rather nice young lady I whisked out from under the noses of a pack of gobshites in the city on Sat night - she gave me a nice smacker, I moved my head sharply so that she hit my cheek - as a blokey I don't dare take any chances with accusations of inappropriate behaviour these days Bloody hell what a crap world.
