Free Worldwide Delivery! Yes, Croatia's on the list!! Right up to the point where you confirm the payment and it says their system won't send them to Croatia. Bumholes :(

I was just about to email them myself! Ok, thanks for that, will now email them with your details. I was wondering maybe it's a tax thing :? I've only just starting ordering car parts from abroad and I've been surprised I've had two lots through but not had the dreaded 22% PDV (President's Deluxe Vehicles) stuffed on anything yet.

This is the reply I go this morning Steve.

Is Croatia not part of the EU yet? If not he can always go through our website www.aceparts.com which has FREE worldwide shipping.

Hope that helps Rappy 8)

It doesn't help I'm afraid, that's exactly what I did, Croatia's listed on the "Checkout - Step 1 of 3" page but when I get to step 3 it's no longer an option.

Not part of the EU yet, not keen on it myself as prices will rocket, wages will have to follow suit and I'll have to get a job :( Plus, the already pitiful pensions here means old people will starve and freeze to death. Cuts the population down I suppose. At least the politicians can become MEPs and live like kings & queens for the rest of their lives.

Done via ebay (I am so not ebay's biggest fan :( ) It suddenly occured to me that this was what you thought I was using.

I also ordered a set of bulbs for the '8, just xenon white (I already knew blue bulbs are illegal here). I was also tempted to buy some overpowered main beam bulbs (so I could blind them for a change  ) but I chickened out, no idea of the legalities and I didn't want to overstress the loom.

Which reminds me, has anyone else noticed the main/dip beam on the D9 is the most annoying thing on it? There's a delay switching between main and dip due to the BSI "thinking" about it. I was coming back from town down the back roads with the mains on, a car came round the bend coming towards me so I pulled the stick but nothing happened, I thought maybe I didn't pull it hard enough so I pulled it again and then they dipped, only to go straight back to main, so I pulled the stick again, nothing, fourth time, dip and back to main. By this time the car passed, with the driver wondering what I was trying to warn him about  Bluddy car :x .

Yep, me too. The one that usually cathces me out is trying to flash main beam when dips are on & winding up on main beam dazzling whoever you were trying to let through

Maybe it's designed for BMW drivers i.e never give way /dip lights on time etc. = no problem 8)

The thing to watch out for with "aero" style blades is you need to get a pair with as high a mounting as possible. The springs on the 406 wiper arms don't appreciate being held too close to the glass and as a result you end up with a wet triangle at the bottom of the screen where the blades are being held away from the screen by the arms

Lubing up the arm hinge seems to last for about 45 seconds
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
