Hi I would suggest a very strong industrial glue maybe look at you local diy shop and ask there advise? If you can get a glue that is suitable in the bathroom with all the heat and cold just like your car. Or even a silicone if you find something to hold it up while it goes off. Hope that helps, Rappy

It is a problem I know and the screen does indeed come with an etched pad area from the factory. The adhesive needs to be very strong yet slightly flexible! a brittle bonding agent between glass and mirror is likely to break away again when anyone moves the mirror (strong leverage at the fixing pad).

I don't know what I'd try but I'd maybe start with a good clean up, a strong double sided adhesive pad and maybe a dash of automotive glazing silicone around (neatly) the base of the pad?

Some ideas. I also read that you should clean with acetone, not alcohol.

Failing that, can you get windscreen cover on your insurance?

NAIL VARNISH REMOVER !!!!!!!! lol you should see the looks some guys give us when we tell them to go buy some for the windscreen

once the screen is spotless clean the screen with aforementioned beauty product then heat the screen with the demister then apply adhesive pad or glue kit

supa your right superglue can cause windscreens to de-laminate so should not be used on the screen

Get the screen spotlessly clean and degreased, and use a small dab of something like Loctite grab adhesive. Wedge the mirror in place with a short length of wood (preferably for the weekend, just to be sure) and that oughtta do it.
