Hi my 406 runs fine but the rev counter jumps all over the place could it be faulty or the dash clocks messing around
can i repair the clock in any way and is there any one in dorset that could help as i dont know much about peugeots
think i need to get a haynes manual
please help guys

You just need to clean the hall sensor pick up with brake cleaner and re-fit. Done it loads of times in the past and as always worked great.

could also be the ICV/TPS

You could try resoldering all the joints on the two connectors of the Dash PCB.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.

rev couter not working at all now if you tap the clocks it coms on a bit.i reca dodgy wire on the back of the clocks
im good with a soldering iron so thats no problem.but how do i dismatle the clocks
