That's crazy! why is it cheaper through scumbag-bay than direct to aceparts
I don't have an ebay account and I don't really want one
it's bad enough going direct but still having to pay with pay pal etc. plus I don't want to have to put AAAA+++++ "what a great ebayer +++++ after every shitting thing I buy
I might give acefarts a call (good god - a telephone
wtf!)

I just put "thanks" unless it's something high value like a car, in which case I'll say something more verboseWelton wrote:I don't want to have to put AAAA+++++ "what a great ebayer +++++ after every shitting thing I buy![]()

I've never like ebay much, I had some bad experiences when it first started (i.e. got ripped off) and haven't used it for many years. The thing is, there's stuff on there that's a) cheap, and b) completely unavailable here, so now I find they won't tax me for importing a few bits and bobs I've ended up using it quite a bit. I'm only buying from stores or people that have ratings up into the thousands, and reading the feedback they get. I don't think someone that's been around for a few years on there is suddenly going to rip you off, especially if you don't buy anything major. PayPal seems pretty safe, though there has been the odd scam or two so I'm still watching it (and my feeder account) like a hawk.
Great ebayer A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++etc. I'm with mjb, just say thanks or similar, the wiper blades got something like "easier to fit than the originals, work great too", just as a plug, or I have put "Just what I needed, thanks!" when I was genuinely pleased, and "fast delivery" but only because it took less than a week from the States. You don't have to copy other people!

Re: Peugeot 406 '95-04 RETRO FIT Flat
Well I didn't manage to make it to Tescos last night, instead I spend it at the emergency vets where my wallet has taken a pounding to the tune of around £1000
One of my little kitties had gone and got a blocked urethra... He's ok now, but he'll be in the vets for another few nights
I've spent a fair bit of time looking at pet insurance today and I've been somewhat disturbed by some of the small print. For instance, Direct Line won't pay for overnight stays at a vet unless the vet claims every night is "absolutely essential and that not taking such action would have seriously worsened your pet's condition". WTF?
It's a similar policy to a human hospital chucking people out on the street immediately after surgery. It's not "absolutely essential" to spend a couple of nights near a nurse, but you'd bloody want (and expect) to be!
I can foresee myself studying a few sets of T&Cs very very carefully over the next few days

FWIW mjb we use PetPlan - It's bad, but not that bad, like £80 excess, but just about everything else is OK

Don't let her end up as a slave at some vets far and away!
More ways of wriggling out of paying up, don't you love insurance co.s? The NHS is a bit like that though, they toss you out on the street the moment you're able to stand. They were amazed here when my dad got the shove 3 days after his first hip op, here they stay in for about a week, then ship you off to a health spa for a further 2 weeks. Then again, the less time you spend in an NHS hospital the better...mjb wrote:Direct Line won't pay for overnight stays at a vet unless the vet claims every night is "absolutely essential and that not taking such action would have seriously worsened your pet's condition".
Why don't I feel like I'll bother any more?Welton wrote:Great reply - Excellent forum poster thanx A++++++++++++++++++++++++++ great, would definately read your posts again great thankx.

Been there, done that, mine wound up as a vet nurse so we get some discount
However, we now have 4 dogs & a cat, half of which are hers
Guess who gets to pay for it?

Sometimes it's the end that needs feeding, sometimes it's worse.
Mind you, I've been calling it "The Bad Cat" for so long that everyone else does now
Repetition does establish validity
