Ah, but that's the sort of price you'd have to pay privately, the insurers should be paying dealer prices and, judging by the insane prices I saw on E&M, I reckon they got off lightly!

When I was negociating the FTO's demise the Insurance engineer/valuer told me he simply picks a few out of this weeks Autotrader and then factors in other stuff like existing damage/condition and offers a price you'd most likely settle for privately i.e. what the cars worth in real terms :|

Other than the odd £50.00 here and there they seem to get it about right now.

I'd have said £1,400.00 at most these days :|

Cheers Welton, glad we got back on topic :cheesy:

My first thought was it was a fair offer, the only thing that stuck in the back of my mind was that insurance companies will usually offer a very low price & you have to beat them with poached salmon to get a half decent price out of them.

The A/T prices seem to be there or thereabouts, although there isn't a similar model in to ours - they are either 2 or 3 years out or are the 110bhp or are the petrol versions. E&M prices vary from cheap to very very silly. The Rapier does seem to be several hundred more than the equivalent LX etc.

I'll get the figures later when the missus gets home from work, if you are looking for one, feel free to pm me, I am looking at it going on fleabay in the near future, but if you wish to save me seller fees etc, I am sure we can work it out. I also have the polystyrene insert that holds the jack/brace etc & sits in the spare wheel (which I also have with a nearly new P9000 on  )

Thanks but not to worry, I have a feeling the transport costs would be somewhere in La-la Land (say about 60 quid), which is about how much it'd cost me to drive up the other end of the country to the only Peugeot breakers I've managed to find here. :|
