alternater off a 1.8 pterol 406 will it fit a 2 litre turbo

hi guys need help again will this fit a 2 litre turbo on a r reg need to know as its cheap

It's hard to tell without seeing the two side by side. If you won it for a quid you've got nothing to lose! 8)

I your 2.0 turbo is laidened with leccy seats and whatnot then I don't think the alternator will have a high enough amperage but if it's an SRi then it's a very good chance it's the same piece of kit I reckon.

yep mine has electric seats as its an excutive so you think not?my altnernater seams to be charging now so i dont know whats up with it

Glad it's working anyway Dragon! :)
I had fun with my mates Astra today; flat battery, got a jump start & did a reasonable journey; then flat as a pancake in Wickes carpark and it wouldn't start off a jump :x
Had to walk back to the job & get a lift to buy a new battery (£78!!!! :shock: ) and got it fitted to find that the alternator belt was near hanging off :roll:
£4.85 for a new belt & fitted it in the pissing rain but all is now working fine! (Just got to fit the new aux belt & tensioner to the tubby :roll: )
