406 estate mega milage petrol

Hi guys not been on forum for a year or so not been a well bear .Anyway my y reg 2001 2l petrol 406 has just passed its 115 000 mile mark (cool for petrol engine ) this is a magic motor why the bloody f****** do all the so called motoring experts slag off the lovely 406 estate Ive owned it for 3 years drove it to austria up to the eagles lair to see the fuhrers bunker seig heil mines a pint ! oops It never failed an mot sh**t due in feb should have shut my gob. anyway cheers 406ers nice to be back. Any petrolers out there with similar milage or am I robinson cruso?. Merry Xmas Yachi-da best wishes dado

You're about 100,000 short of "mega miles" for a petrol 406. 115k is probably less than average :)

My last one - 2.0 petrol turbo - hit just shy of 190k before I scrapped it (needed a new bonnet, cambelt cv boot. replacing was cheaper)
My current one - 3.0 V6 is about 127k at the moment. Quite happy at its low mileage :cheesy:

Seems to be a very strong engine the Petrol. Someone was on here a few days ao with over 200K on a 1.8 I think.

The engine even forgives you for horrible neglect in the servicing department :oops:
