They're Lucas EPIC too - the horror! It's just an idea, it's quite a long way to go and with the air temperature just now I was thinking it would probably condense before it got to the engine.

good idea ill try wacking it in nearer the manifold,there doesnt seem to be any power to the pump either when you use a test light on the wires???????

Now that I have no idea about. You don't have one of them mythical inertia switches do you? It's supposed to be up by one of the strut tops, the left one maybe?

yeah theres an inertia switch do they tend to give trouble?

Only when they switch out but people don't know they're there. Just another guess, neither of mine have one so I don't know if they're obvious (big sign saying "here it is!") or hidden down the back somewhere ("we've found the problem sir, we'll have your car back to you when I've found out how much 2 tickets to Tenerife cost.")
