1998 406 d8 lxs td alarm

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Post by ncd72 »

hi all - totally new to pugs - does anyone know if my car should have an alarm on it - and if so how would i know?

no lights flash when i use the cl remote so im presuming there may be another way of knowing if its armed.

thanks in advance

Does your key have a big button and a small button?

If so, push the big button to lock the doors, then the small button within a couple of seconds to deadlock+alarm.

There's a few types of key.

Do you have ultrasonic sensors inside at the top of the pillars to the side of the windscreen where you knock them out of their holes if you swing the sunblind round to the side? If not, I'm not sure you have an alarm :(
