AIR BAG LIGHT

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

AIR BAG LIGHT

Post by Kyle406 »

Hello

i have a 1999 406 and the AIR BAG light is flashing. some times it comes on and then sometimes it doesn't. when it is on i put the key in the Airbag slot in the centre console and turn it to the off position then back to the on position and the light goes out. this doesnt always work though.

does anyone else have this problem.

any advice is welcome

thanks

Got a similar thing when my daughter drowned the switch with water. When it dried out all was ok (WD 40 worked for me). Yours could be just condensation in the key or a knackered key switch contact. .
