I gradually changed the entire lot apart from the water pump which was fairly new.
Main culprits were; radiator - like swiss cheese, top and bottom hoses, and the not so obvious; the thermostat seal which had perished away to virtually nothing.
I only found it after I'd changed all the other parts and had put in red antifreeze which left a nice tell tale stain under the thermostat housing! I changed the 'stat as well for good measure although I think the old one was perfectly fine to be honest.

You can get the seal from any motor factors or a dealers, they only cost £2 or so.
From memory the 'stat can only fit in one way, so you'll be ok there

Make it during the Easter holibobs and I'll make the effort to attend. Assuming I can get permission from the higher-ups, of course. By which I mean my wife.
We can have a 'noisiest 406' tourney, so I can bet on myself and make a stack of money
