Re: v6 engine problem
Mjb, having now seen pictures of the V6 for the first time, I completely understand your reluctance to change the timing belt with the engine in the car.
I had no idea they were that difficult to get at.

Pic might help
Where abouts are the plugs, how many pins, and most importantly, can you see any numbers printed on the wires to the plug?

Re: v6 engine problem
all sorted now done some testing on the loom and it was not good so i striped my old loom off the old engine and put it on the new one.
today as been a pain in the arse i would have had the engine back in if i did not run into that problem with the loom also had to change loads of bits over but got the main work done new cam belt and water pump and i must say if anyones water pump should need replacing good luck coz it will be impossible with the engine in the car after the work i had to do to get it out turst me i know what am talking about i will upload some more pics from todays work engine should be in the car by monday just got some finshing touches to do on the new engine before it goes back in pics will be uploaded tommorw afternoon keep an eye out
