It's dark metallic blue, the best colour for 406s by a long way.
Good bits:
* It's an Exec! Top trim level (heated electric leather seats, CD changer in boot, digital climate control, alarm, alloys, etc)
* Aircon blows cold
* Fairly new battery, oversized so no worries about it ever dying
* Trip computer retro-fit
* Relatively new front brake discs+pads
* Tyres have good tread levels
* Probably 4 months tax
* Waterproof modification to aerial mount
* Strong engine, out-run a BMW M3 on its 155mph limiter last year on the Autobahn - once I'd caught up to him...
* About 30k from needing a cambelt change I think
* Had new driveshaft CV boots last year - an expensive job which hits all 406s of this age
* All electrics work fine
* Radiator was changed about 18 months ago
* Only about 130k on the clock, service history until I got my hands on it about 10k ago
* About 6 months MOT
* About 3 months tax (pre-2001 rates!)
* Can average 40mpg on the motorway if you're not heavy footed
* Amazingly for one of my cars, the bonnet's actually in good condition!
Bad Bits:
* Bodywork's a bit scratched in places and for some reason the boot lid looks like someone's taken a scourer to it (not gone through the paint though)
* I strongly suspect the throttle pot suffers from condensation - On days where you get to the car and the windows are misty, it'll rev on its own and idling is lumpy. No problem on dry days though. I'm hoping to get a spare one from fairlight08's scrap engine for £30. Easy to fit.
* I suspect the front strut bearings are shot. Only about £30 in parts, but I don't have the kit+ability to change them myself. Someone unfamiliar with 406s probably wouldn't notice....
* Cruise control only works occasionally. Suspect a perished vacuum pipe between the pump and actuator. Been meaning to look at this for ages, but never got round to it since I prefer using my right foot
* Might need a new stereo if I can't find the code to the OEM one I took out the day I bought it. Who still has tapes anyway?
* Cheapo exhaust, before I got it straightened out it managed to melt the rear bumper a bit
I'd expect to get about £6-700 for it on ebay, but my insurance expires Tuesday 24th, so I either need it gone by then, else I'll probably keep it another year. Car's in Stoke-on-Trent, but if the timing's right I could get it down near the M4/M5 junction

Make me an offer... Quickly... Please...
...or don't. I could do without the expense of buying a coupe
