97 2.0 turbo keypad won't accept the code

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

97 2.0 turbo keypad won't accept the code

Post by jf813 »

Dear all:

Need help! I park my car. Went for dinner when I pickup the car the immobliser will not accept the code. It just act like I enter the wrong code. I tried my code, 1111, 0000, 0001 and nothing works. And took the car to the dealer and they don't even know how to reset the computer. (Sorry I am in HK and the Peugeot dealer here is a joke). Anybody know what and where can I fix this issue. BTW: I only have the basic factory immobliser, not the one with two botton on the key, just one big botton. I mean it is a nice car and I really don't want to scrape it.

Thank you in advance!!!

Thanks for the reply! But sorry it won't work as it will not accept the code I type in. After I enter the code it will just act like I enter the wrong code. And the green light will not come on...... Went to the dealer here and they said they cannot retrive the code and they need to change the computer and keypad and it "SHOULD" start....... Dealer don't even know what is wrong with the car and the only thing they tell me is buy stuff. WTF!!!

The likelihood of it being possible to retrieve the code is extremely low, but I'm surprised they can't simply reset it
