Hello
Can anyone tell me with any certainty that my 2001 51 406 LX should have two heated mirrors as the n/s one doesnt demist.

I wouldn't imagine it having only the one, it'd either have both or none IMO :?

Pop the mirror glass off; it should have 2 wires attached for the element.
1996 406 1.8LX Got a bad case of hydro lock!

ok just realised the off side one on mine doesn't work . Right teamy
whats this pop the mirror off business and will it result in any damage
and me hunting you down :P :P

It's easy puggy :supafrisk: :wink:
Adjust the mirror so it's pointing up as far as it will and you'll see two pins sticking down from the bottom of the glass. push these towards each other with a screwdriver and it'll release the retaining spring. Upon refitting fit the spring to the glass first and it pops back on :)
Watch out for the spade connectors on the glass; they get quite corroded and can snap off.
