Seems the only place I can get the pins is the stealers, £16 a side :( If only I had a lathe...

Still, now I have one (they should have another kit in tomorrow) at least I can see what I'm dealing with. Who the hell would put one of these things in without greasing it up?!? Even *I* would slap copper slip on the thing without prompting!

I've changed the pads! :cheesy:

They needed a LOT of full force whacking with my 2lb hammer. I smashed 2 punches, bent a 3rd and my fingers are still tingling from the vibrations

Got a couple of issues now, one is I've got a really loud squealing on braking. The backs and ears of the pads, and the pins are well coated in copper slip so I don't understand why.

Also it's pulling to the left on hard braking. Actually no, not pulling, crabbing. The steering wheel doesn't move or pull. Any ideas? Perhaps it's just a result of splashing gearbox oil over the engine bay, wing and n/s/f wheel yesterday, or perhaps I've picked up some of the oil on one or more of the wheels today?

Seeing as they're all the same, what's wrong with pins from the breakers?

It sounds like there's something up with one of the calipers still :(

Time, and the possibility of them being as corroded as the ones I've pulled out. Better to renew Imho

Quite possibly a bit seized. I'm half tempted to attempt pulling the callipers out and properly sorting them when I go to change the discs&shoes (and might put quality pads on when I'm doing that too).

In fact I might grab some callipers from a breakers yard so I can fix 'em up "offline" and change the lot in a day

Interestingly I've just done a little trip and it was silent  might works itself out...
