Question is, how does the water get in there to start with????

I decided i coudn't wait till the weekend so have been out and done the job. The 2 drain holes in each sill are tiny, they were both blocked solid on mine and when i eventually got a very thin, sharp electrical screwdriver in, the water came pouring out. I took at least a litre and a half of water out....

which hopefully will put an end to the sloshing noises..
Had a go at the drivers side, but nothing came out so i assume it must be dry?
I think i am goint to invest in some mudflaps to stop all the crap being thrown up under the sills, and make a point of poking the holes out regularly from now on..(oooer missus)
