<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I had issues with mine not so long ago D8 1900D she was running very rough and had flat spots all through her gears.
I found out the cold start ignition advance solinoid was fubarred kicking out 300ohms instead of a happy 20-30ohms across the poles.
I have bypassed this valve for now pulling the pipe from the cam shaft vac pump and shoving it directly onto the idle piston.

I still havent entertained pricing one up mind...

But now the revs are at 900 theres a very loud rattle against the bulkhead at idle, pick her up to 1100 and it goes away.... Ideas?
