D8 towbar electrics, any "plug in" points on the loom?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

D8 towbar electrics, any "plug in" points on the loom?

Post by StevieboyTD »

Just fitted a towbar to my d8 estate as i'm going to be shifting loads of crap from a house we've just got the keys for (previous tennants forgot to move out!) and i know some models have a simple fitting where you can just plug into the existing car loom rather than scotch block into the lighting cables.

Is there something similar on the d8 estate?

Also, how the hell do i setup a dash warning light to show the trailer is indicating?

Cheers

Steve

Can't help you much on this, but mine had towbar fitted when I got it, (& it's a D9). It doesn't have an extra warning light, but has one of those audible sounders which bleeps as the lights flash. This is located somewhere in the boot (by the sound of it).
If nobody gives you a better answer, let me know & I'll have a root about & see how mine was wired up - its a Witter with twin electrics, so will have been, 'reassuringly expensive' and hopefully a proper job.
