If it's the dark blue like the the car in my sig, it's either called Rhodes Blue or Calypso Blue. Different names, different paint codes, same colour

If you open your bonnet you should see the paint code stamped on one of the strut mounts or on the slam panel

China Blue is right. Lovely colour. The paint code can also be found on the sticker inside the drivers door with the tyre pressures

The first link is china blue
The second link is calypso/rhodes blue

They're subtly different. China blue is a D9 colour, slightly lighter.

China Blue was also available on D8's. My Dads first 406 was a new D8 and china blue. I remember the dealer telling us the name of the colour and i wondered what it had to do with china? :? :?

if it's a D8 at least, it should be stamped on one of the strut mounts under the bonnet a couple of inches long in yellow paint

That's right, yours is a D9 (the mesh grill on either side of the heraldic lion badge, rather than the horizontal slats on the D8s)
