Urgent help needed pls
Hi All,
does anyone of you have experience or worked with Peugeot Planet 2000? if so I have following queries which I'm desperately looking for answers
1. Can it carry out key-programming (transponder programming). This functionality needs the access code for the vehicle, except from the agent is there any source to obtain the access codes (even paying is perfectly alright but going through agents is crap)
2. Can I install firmware to the BSI's and ECU's using Peugeot Planet?
Really appreciate if you could help me in this regard as only peugeot agent here is totally crap so we compelled to carry out certain repairs by ourselves but above mentioned. Thanks again

This is the hardware you need to carry out your own repairs. The software can be downloaded for free but is no good without the equipment. Expect to pay over £1000 for the equipment. There is an accurate description below the picture on the article of what you can do with it.

It's £257 from dealers, part 9780Z5. Or you can pay £500-1000 on ebayeoin27 wrote:Expect to pay over £1000 for the equipment.

Yeah, just look up your local peugeot dealer...dogslife wrote:Does anyone either have a working setup, or know someone who does?
I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to risk spending that kind of money on stuff that has a fair chance of not working

Hi All,
does anyone of you have experience or worked with Peugeot Planet 2000? if so I have following queries which I'm desperately looking for answers
i do
1. Can it carry out key-programming (transponder programming). This functionality needs the access code for the vehicle, except from the agent is there any source to obtain the access codes (even paying is perfectly alright but going through agents is crap)
yes, you can. but getting the codes do require the dealership or a independent authorised keysupplier, second (according to peugeot) every request on the PSA database is logged, and since every psa mecanic have their own ID its easy to trace back who looked up the codes...heheh let's say i wouldnt look up codes for 3rth parties.
2. Can I install firmware to the BSI's and ECU's using Peugeot Planet?
No, eventhough you would have a fully working PPS, accessing the PSA server to update firmware for OEM units still requires a personal ID from a mecanic, so you have to obtain that to from a psa mecanic
second if you have a mecanics ID, your PPS also has a dealercode, and mostlikely the mechanics ID accessing the server, must be done with a PPS licensed to that dealer (also in a database the amount of pps systems the dealer has licensed, and every PPS has it own identitycode), and i think the server would kick you out if you are trying to acces the server with a unknown PPS identity code
Really appreciate if you could help me in this regard as only peugeot agent here is totally crap so we compelled to carry out certain repairs by ourselves but above mentioned. Thanks again
no problem, heheh first thing to do to become friends with a psa mechanic and get his ID, then thinking about buying a PPS or a Lexia ;)
regards axl
