handbrake
hi could any one tell me where the hand brake adjuster is please i have a d9 dont know if it matters

Re: handbrake
Jack the back end of the car up, support it on axle stand(s) and it's a big l-shaped-ish bit of plastic right between the 2 rear wheels.
There's also adjusters inside both drums which you can use to affect the balance. Take the wheels off and you can turn the adjuster through the 5th hole in the discs

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

D'oh! Cable adjuster as MJB says, the handbrake adjusters on the brakes should adjust automatically (unless they're seized solid of course)

Dismantle, spray with WD40, work them free, lube them liberally with HMP grease, reassemble.
