Handbrake warning message
Does anyone know where the sensor is located on the handbrake which activates the message on the LCD display when the handbrake is pulled on whilst the car is moving.

On the handbrake lever, according to B.O.L.
'Remove centre console...Disconnect wiring connector... unclip / remove from h/brake lever'

Re: Handbrake warning message
It is down there at the hndbrake but it's a bit of an arse to do unless you enjoy fiddly bits of trim etc. There was a how-to on here once
The switch goes a bit lazy where it gets covered in fluff/grease whatever. The easiest fix I found was to just give the handrake a good old work out for 30 secs or so (work it like a mad man). This always worked for me and I only had to do it 2 or 3 times in 3 years - just make sure no-one sees you do it, they'll think your a bit odd
