Diesel temp sensor fault

Post by landymad »

Hi

Just had the codes read on my 52reg 90 HDI.
It had 2 codes come up for the fuel system. They were wiped and then only 1 retured which was 'B+ Fuel Temp sensor open circuit'

I understand that this could be either the sensor or the wiring.

Where is this sensor, is it easy to change and what do they cost.

Oh yeah, it is a siemens injection system

Cheers

I really dont think its a big deal until you notice something wrong with the driveability of the car. A harsh bump or a splash of water in the engine can put that warning on

Sensor is about a tenner, just below termostat housing and green connector, just a small circlip holds it in.
I changed mine as the gauge stopped working but didn't
seem to help problem. Driving in downpour seem to fix problem !

See my post HDI Temp gauge
