The trouble is our work seems to dictate whereabouts we need to live rather than somewhere we'd really like to live :|

I stopped following that a while ago. Sure I could easily be earning 2x my current salary in London, but I hate the place so I've decided to stay here, no matter what travelling I need to do

Tooty - I like it up that way too Scabby, Whitby etc great area.

Me and the pre-Mrs Welly stayed at that Hotel that later fell into the sea (think it was the Holbeck Hall Hotel?)

It wasn't our fault by the way, it was coastal erosion.........honest

Nothing to do with the vibrations coming from your room

Yeah it was Holbeck Hall Hotel, nice part of town there on the south cliff (views towards the seafront/castle). I would love an apartment or something up there on the Esplanade but they are mega bucks :(

Is Birmingham really that bad - my mate always raves on about it being the worst place in the UK? He was from there and got the shits with the crime so him and his parents ended up here....?

I'm from St. Aines originally, now living in the principality of Southampton by way of three years in Leicester.

Having said that, I'll soon be spending 2/3 of my year in a big metal box floating around the world trying to avoid being kiled :|
