fuse box layout

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

The in car one matches my handbook, you have to turn the book upside down.

The under bonnet one matches my handbook too, you have to turn it through 90 degrees to read it correctly.

If you can't work it out, ask, and I will post my fuse numbers and ratings.

Ok thanks i can see the 1st one now i have turned it upside down but the 2nd one (under bonnet) has completely baffled me i have tried turning it round and round and round and still it looks nothing like the photo i have in my handbook...Thanks Colin

p.s on the 1st one what is R,R2,R3.R4, R5 as they are mentioned in the handbook diagram but not on the fuse function list

Anything in the fuse box labelled "R" means replacement....ie, spare fuses.

My '99 D9's dashboard fusebox is upside down too. Took a while to figure that one out

I haven't looked at my D9's engine bay fusebox yet, but surely it should have some relays like the D8s? Maybe it's installed upside down?
