OBC... Do you mean OEM trip computer retro-fit, or a car PC?

Oooooh. I know what a pain in the rear it can be re-wiring a D8 for it (wire to the ecu, joining/intercepting wires behind the instrument cluster, etc) when there's only half a connector in the loom, but I've not heard of it being done on a D9!

I take it you'll be having to extend the VAN bus up from the stereo to the display, or is there already a loom plug there for you to use? I'd love to know more about what you're doing!

I know how to do that. Disconnect the sensor from the wire and put the mirror back on. it will automatically go to intermittent mode.

My 6 hadn't auto lights so i'm not sure. If there is a specfic fuse for auto wipers, i'd try that

Nope! tried that, also feed interior lighting and a few other bits.....

i just installed the sensor in the mirror, and installed all new wires, it could be possible that the wires are partly already installed, hooked up to the BSI and reprogrammed my display...only sux is that i have the "digit" display i guess type A. so it wont stay on the display only when i press one of the buttons on the display.

if you PM me your chassisnumber i ll look up the wireing schedule for you car.

I'm Phil, an IT Consultant and also refine and maintain flight planning systems. I'm based in Crawley, West Sussex with my soon to be wife Donna, I have 1 son called Leo and one in the oven!

This will be the 3rd 406 in the family, the first was a GLX 2.0 Petrol P Reg (bought from new), after that I bought myself a 1.9TD LX P Reg also which was in a bit of a sorry state of repair but for £100 it was a bargain once it had a little bit of TLC. After that I had a Citroen Xantia 1.9TD which got written off by an off-duty copper rushing to work pulling out in front of us (f*cking knob cheese lair, it's been a year since it happened and still nothing has been done!)

All hell broke loose with the insurance company who scrapped the car even though I told them I wanted to keep it, so to cut a long story short I managed to get them to waive the excess and give me a full payout.

With that payout I bought our Silver 1999 T Reg 406 GLX 2.0HDI, for £500 with a broken clutch, £70 for a new clutch which was fitted by me and my dad making the total cost £570! It's got Climate Control, 6 CD Changer and all the other stuff you'd expect on a GLX. I have to say it's the finest example of a 406 i've been in when it comes to cruising on the motorway, it's very smooth indeed!

I'll upload a few photo's later on to show what £570 gets you!

We got lost around woking area last week when the satnav decided to give up the ghost on the way to the middle of nowhere! iPhone and google maps saved the day!

Decided to take another trip up to my dads this weekend and treat the car whilst i'm at it to some new trackrod ends, and a full set of drop links for good measure as I'm sure they'll need doing shortly even though i've not noticed any knocking over bumps!

The baby is due 20th Feb 2010, so quite a way to go yet!

Agreed! Everyone in the family looks to my dad to fix everything, and I mean everything!

I'm not tight but I'm a fan of research, more research a little planning and then attacking it myself, it seems to work well! I'm alright with a spanner, but for most jobs I just lack the gear to do it!

Ouch, how much did that set him back!?

Other than Autodata what other software is floating around specifically for Peugeot that I can 'Purchase'?
