D8 immobiliser loom

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

D8 immobiliser loom

Post by chrisr »

Hi,
I have a broken loom at the immobiliser keypad connection.
Two of the wires have broken and shorted out on each other causing quite a lot of smoke inside the car.!!!!!
I spent over 2 hours trying to fix it at work and the car is stranded there.
Is the loom to the immobiliser replaceble?
Any helpful answers will be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Hm, if you don't need the keypad, then you can try and entering the code and then unplugging it. Else you may need to disable the fuel stop solenoid... Someone else will be along with a better answer.
