I had a strange morning this very day which I feel the need to share. One of my cats Billie, who's usually as clean as anything. started smelling strange so off to the vet's we go again. After a late start, my misses, Bille and myself were waiting at the level crossing when I noticed a grey kitten climb out from under an old Audi that was waiting there and start walking about underneath. My misses got out and rushed over to tell the driver, who got out to see. Who got out? About 24... blonde... gorgeous... legs... big... with "ruke k sebe" (hands to yourself) written across the arse of the skimpy tight hotpants she was wearing. Of course, I got to read this several times as she was bending down looking under her car. Eventually I put my tongue away and went out to try to help but we couldn't coax the little bugger out, which was now on top of the gearbox. Anyway, she wasn't far from home and drove off extremely slowly and we carried on our journey to the vet's.

At the vet's it turns out that, as well as dogs, cats have issues with anal glands too. Oddly, our vet, Mirela, insists on calling them "anal sacks" which, with the accent, always makes me smile. Anyway, Billie's were well blocked so Mirela went about squeezing them out in the usual manner. Unfortunately one of them all but exploded and sprayed liquid sh%t up Mirela's top, across her face and into her hair. Yum. There's lots of stuff I'm prepared to do to fix our animals but that's most definitely not one of them.

Her*. Seems ok thanks, she's a very nervous cat so I thought she'd be traumatised for a couple of days but she was soon back to normal. If you can call a cat who loves being tickled but who is terrified of human beings "normal".
