HI IWONDER IF ANYONE CAN HELP . IV'E GOT A 1997 406 2.0Lltr glx .the trip computer only displays the temp . i havent got a button on the wiper stalk. could i fit a another stalk with a trip button on it . would this enable the trip computer to work.

It will enable the trip computer to cycle modes... if you wire the button in
The computer however won't display any data unless you wire it into the ECU, dash and fuel gauge sender... providing your ECU is compatible of course. So far only the Bosch MP5.1 and 7.0 have been tried and found to work

Yes you can retro fit it to your model; have a search in the electrical sub-forum on trip computer. There's some wiring involved & you'll need to get a spare trip comp connector from a breakers as well as the stalk. I've done it, as has mjb but it's not a 5 minute job!
