Power Loss

Hi everyone! Few days ago i drove my pug from work and suddenly i realised that it lost power rapidly. my pug is 2.0 SRI and now it feels like im driving a 1.1 something. the weird thing is that when i accelerate it sounds like its blowing out of rear exhaust box. sounds like a wind blow but the engine is running fine thou. i have recently fitted the cold air intake thou. is thare any chance it has something to do with air intake system? please help!!!

Hi there.Its sounds to me that a turbo/intercooler/breather pipe has come off.(i`m assuming it is turbo`d being an sri)I`ve had this on my old Xantia TD,my current HDI,& recently had to fix my brothers Seat Leon Cupra R all because a pipe had come off.On all occasions ,when putting you foot down it sounds like your exhaust is blowing,but coming fron the engine bay.
Check all turbo & intercooler pipes,breather pipes,& your air intake pipes.I`m sure you`ll find a loose pipe or missing jubilie clip. Or at worst a split pipe.
As with the cars above,they still ran fine,with no smoke etc,but just had no power when you floored it
