Remote key help needed!

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Remote key help needed!

Hi all, I have lost the big button from my 406 key! It fell out and I really dont know what to do! The central locking still works from the key but where can I get the button from? Any help/direction gratefully recieved!

The button's not a separate part Get a key from ebay and switch the top covers over

Actually they do sell the big button; I bought one for mine, it was £5 from memory ( :shock: :shock: :shock: )

As above, its easier to get a new key from ebay, and swap the shells over.
'02 406 2.0 HDi Rapier Estate, now with added cruise control!

My local scrappy sells keys. Beware, because even if you buy one that looks identical on the outside, they're not all the same on the inside. The guts from your key may not fit in the replacement :(

Did anyone ever figure out getting the key blade out and in to the new fob?
