AT THE MOMENT WHEN THE CAR GET HOT . ONLY ONE FAN WORKS SHOULD BOTH FANS RUN . MY AIR /CON IS NOT WORKING DOES THIS CONTROL ONE OF THE FANS . I HAVE A R REG 406 GLX . DOES THE AIR/CON HAVE TO BE FULLY CHARGED FOR IT TO OPERATE THE COMPRESSER

Stop shouting :frown: Both fans should run together (low and high speeds), check relays behind the grille.

If you have checked the relays and fuses, see if the fan is stiff or has a tight spot, unplug the brown plug next to the water outlet hose with the engine running, this will switch both fans on. Now whack the middle of the fan with a screwdriver handle a couple of times, if it hiccups keep whacking it until it spins on it's own. With luck it will spin up to full speed, leave it on full speed for a few minutes. This may or may not work for you...........it worked for me and is still working!
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
