Indicator relay

I wonder if anyone can help . When i have indicated or turned the lights on a few seconds later the indicator relay starts to chatter. if i wiggle the indicator/lighting stalk it seems to stop it for a while . Do i need a new relay or lighting stalk . I have a peugeot 406 2lt i R reg :?

Sounds like an iffy contact in the stalk. If it's possible to open the things up, it may well be possible to fix yours with a bit of electrical contact cleaner

Yep, it will be your stalk, as i had the same problem with my old 106 when i replaced it it was fine.. good as new.. 8)

Guess what? I've been here too, take it to bits and give it a good clean, worked for me!
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!
