The last owner of the car said the remote central locking did work but it worked intermitently. He said the key just needed new batteries. Ive bought new batteries and put them in, although the little red light comes on the key, nothing happens to the car. Ive tried it a number of times (even before i changed the batteries) and as of yet, ive never managed to lock the car using the button on the key.
Any ideas how i can find what the problem is?

Try following the re-synchronisation procedure listed in the handbook

I couldnt find any procedure in the hand book. I did find other posts though.
Sorted it by putting the key in ingition and pressing the A button. Now it works every time!
Next job is to figure out if/how i can get the alarm working! Aparantly it has got an alarm on it but i dont know if it works or if it has been disabled.
