clock

Post by terry »

Hello
I am new Here
and just purchased a 1997 406 glx Diesel
the time clock is not illuminating
it is a separate clock in a triangular shaped setting just to the left of the main speedometer and rev counter
could any one help me by telling me
how to remove the clock and if there is a bulb behind it i can replace
it keeps good time but has no back light to help it be seen

thank you all so much

Not needed to do it myself, but you just need to lever it out and change the bulb - commonly available from halfords, any motor factor, maplins, etc
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

As above. It just pops out. I used a thin flat bladed screwdriver down the sides to get mine out. Can't remember off hand whether it's a normal dashbulb holder or one of the shorter ones, but you'll find out once the clock's removed.
