Oil pans

So what oil pans do people use? I've not done an engine oil change before, and with the way the halfords one splashes gearbox oil EVERYWHERE, I don't particularly want to use another one of those for the job...

I've always gone for the 'Sawn Off' oil can look

Get an old 5 litre oil container and cut a square hole in it, when you fill your engine up you can use the empty container to dispose of the old oil down the recycle centre.

Could be an issue for the V6, what with the 5.5L capacity and the lack of an empty oil container

Think I may just buy myself a new bucket and use the old one for oil changes...

The average oil container holds about 6 litres, but nothing wrong with a bucket

I've got an old tupperwear biscuit barrel which sits in an old tupperwear box..., does the job

I use an old oil container with the side cut out of it. Then once you've put all your new oil into the car, you can pour the old oil into the new oils can

Remember though 5.5 litres is with a filter change, so you wont get a full 5.5 coming out of the sump.

I have ramps... no chance of getting the coupe on them though
