Re: hdi110 fuel economy
Are you getting your MPG figures from the on board computer?
If so, mine under-reads by about 4-5 mpg most weeks, so the only proper way to check is brim to brim.
Normally mines as near or damn it 50 - 52 mpg week in week out, which in the grand scheme of things is good for a large 5 seater family saloon.
The remap is tempting......

Re: hdi110 fuel economy
I want to get m HDi 90 Remapped also.
Just for comparison...
I drive 5.1 miles on my commute each day.
2.5 miles is literally crawling stop start traffic for 5-10 minutes and the rest is 30 and 40mph limits.
I get 36.5 Lowest when traffic was REALLY bad or 38.1mpg average.
The car is due a service so may creep up a bit.
These readings are taken from the Onboard computer

Your about bang on there really and certainly not bad. It would be worth checking that you have 33PSi on each corner - I was running less than 30 once by mistake and got an extra 2-3 mpg on 'fuller' tyres.stevemc wrote:can anyone help ,my1999 110 hdi is only getting 45-47 mpg ,i drive 22 miles on a major road without stopping at about 60-70 mph ,should i

If you were travelling at 50-60 mph you would get 50 mpg actually but nudging 70 always seems to use more that you expect (more wind resistance I suppose).

Re: hdi110 fuel economy
my average so far as read from the computer is 42.8mpg
I drive 6 miles to work at 30/40mph and then back again at night. I've driven a few 45 minute journeys in the last 600 miles that I'm taking the MPG from, but I'm pretty happy with anything over 40 considering the size of the car, that most of my driving is urban and that it's doing almost the same MPG I was getting from my horrid little 1.0 litre eurobox I previously had

The trip computer works using metric internally and only converts to imperial on the output (display) stagebangernom1cs wrote:Wierdly..my trip computer always stops reading at 6214 miles after resetting on the monthly (position1)

6214 miles = 10 000.4636 kilometres
Looks like it tries to stop the display circuitry from displaying 5 digits on a 4 digit display
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: hdi110 fuel economy
My consumption dropped from 7.0 to 6.9l/100km yesterday (40.9mpg), rather chuffed about that as almost all of my driving is around this little town and pothole-strewn b-roads - average speed 35km/h (22mph). Never mind the queue of cars behind me
