I ve just bought a 1.8 16v petrol 406, I ve had to change the maniford sensor as it was making the car cut out, but yesterday I drove it and its making a really bad grinding noise from the top end, the motor has 70.000 on it, has anyone been through the same problem, I am hoping its not a bent valve or worse, any info would be really helpfull.
Have you taken the auxilliary belt off and run it to eliminate the pas pump & alternator etc?
