can anyone tell me why i'm having such a problem getting a second hand gearknob for my 406?the one i have is 2002 406 hdi glx 110 my gearknob has the lift for reverse which reverse is next to 1st all scrappy's,ebay etc all have the reverse down from 5th and thats from 2001 up to 2004 models,why is mine different?what other peugeot knob would fit?want to keep it standard but not buy from dealers.cheers

Yes, I've been looking for a 2nd hand one for ages now (since Feb) as mine is frayed but could not find anything. Best bet is dealers who will chop your arm off for it.

In fact, there's a bunch of knobs on service box, some are shared with the 607 and 807, if that's any use...
Mine's given as 2403 S6 LEATHER BUTT CUIR OURAGAN NOIR, which also brings up an 807 with the ML5C box (that'll be an HDi then)
