help headlights keep flashing

is this a common problem for headlights when on auto ,after about 2miniutes they start to go dim then bright, they do this
about 3 times and then they are ok,the light stalk has the usual thing when you indicate right they cancel and indicate left
is this affecting the lighting as they are both on the same stalk.

My headlights do that, it's fairly slight tho. It's been mentioned before (can't find it tho )

I've noticed mine flicker a tiny bit now & again, but not enough to have any hope of tracing it

at least now i know it not only mine that does it, when it 1st flickered i thought it was me seeing things,thanks for the replys.

went to check turbo black rubber pipe that leads of towards the cambelt , and nocked a thin pce of plastic tube, this in turn
made my lights flicker,so traced it back to where it went,ended up going to near where the window wipers were, under
the engine and it was attached to a barrell shape like object, there are 3 of these and the plate on which they sit was loose,when it was tighned up it moved the cable attached to it which was also loose, since i sorted the loose items. have
not had any more flickering lights.
