Can somebody please tell me what the red light of an engine with a X means, that comes up sometimes on the dash, if I stop, turn the ignition off then restart it goes out for a while then reappears. I do not have an owners manual for my car and Haynes does not say or show anything about it.
Great.!!! What does that mean, what's knackered now, I noticed coming from a Hallowen party for the Grandchildren tonight that If I put my foot down when the light came on, it went out. I'm wondering what more revs could have to do with it.
It means a trip to someone with a diagnostic machine so the ECU can tell you what fault code it's reading. Then you'll know what bit you need to replace/fix.
