use the search box to the top right of the page - this has been covered many times
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

It's one of the ones that should be on the Knowledge Base 'cos it's so common - let us know if you're still confused anyway, sometimes we're not having a 'mare with our own cars...

Famous for connections near the blower burning out. It´s above the passenger footwell, accessed by removing the cloth cover. Easily got at if you can lie on your back with your head under the glovebox, arching your back over the sill while trying to keep your balance as you use both hands to gain access and check for bad connections. Not having looked thro the historical posts on here for this I would assume that someone will have photos of what and where to look for the problem. Normally it is a four way connector burning out - watch because it gets hot. Take the cloth cover off in the footwell to gain access and smell for burning. Hope this helps. :)

The wires on mine also burnt out, They were sparking when going over bumps etc... Lucky i checked and changed it because it was burning the carpet! Check the connectors at the motor itself, the black and the red one. And check the other wires, theyre connected together with metal connectors, thats where mine was burning out.

My father had the exact same problem with his and the wiring had burnt out we couldnt trace it so rewired the power direct from the radio to the fan still had a radio but also used that power to supply the fan just fitted a fuse in between it has been going 6 months now easier and cheaper than trying to fix the actual wiring.
