QUICK QUESTION
Whats the origonal power output on a 1999 2.0 sri turbo (petrol). and does anyone know what power you can get this engine too?

150 Bhp, I believe.

The engine can't handle any more bhp without fairly major work. Turbos, cooling system, head gasket, fuelling are all weak points.
It was designed to give a nice shove of torque and be flexible, quiet and reliable which it does well by all acounts - if you leave it alone

You can get another 10bhp or so from a healthy motor, but beyond that it starts to cost serious sponduliks and makes a used hand grenade look reliable.
It's pointless, as the 2.2 petrol is already 10bhp meatier, lighter, rock solid reliable, more economical and has much longer service intervals.

Yeh I know, but as said before, I got the tinkerin gene! alreaady seen some on google images, 300bhp+ and lookin great, I can't help it!!! have a look.
