406 Roland Garros

Post by peugeot406rapier »

never seen one of these before i didnt even realise they done one in france looks nice D9 with D8 style seats and special alloys and white clocks wayyy back in 1999 (or maybe cream?)

http://annonces.ebay.fr/viewad/Peugeot- ... 5000859395

...and before you ask why i was on french ebay ive just watched Taxi 2 and where the girl gives birth in the back of the 406 i noticed a semi circle stitched into the leather headrests like in the 407 where i believe our leather headheads are just smooth in a D9? had to do some investigating

haha yes im right...

France http://i.ebayimg.com/12/!!eDY-sgBHU~$(K ... 0200A00080

UK http://pictures2.autotrader.co.uk/imgse ... 1009020887

yes im very sad..ill go count the stitching on my leather steering wheel and compare it to french spec now....

[Hijack] If I were to pick up a south paw 406 from across the Channel, is the cluster the same or are mph and kph swapped over on the speedo? If froggy ones are kph for the main scale, does anyone know if I could pop a UK cluster in there with no dicking about?

Need to consult young earwigg, I'd say....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

not even this D9 has mph seems silly as we have to have kmph on our dials for continental driving...

Well presumably for the same reason UK cars have kph as a secondary scale - when I cross the channel. Of course that's not so likely down your neck of the woods, I realise.

What? Don't you find that rather inconvenient on your frequent trips to the UK? Image
